To install gp2xPd on your gp2x you need to install the following software:
Python with Pygame for the gp2x
- Download it from the original site or the mirrored version here.
- Unpack it
- Copy the 'python' directory in the archive into /mnt/sd on your gp2x
gp2xPd + PDa
- Download the latest stable version from my CVS
- Unpack it onto your gp2x anywhere you like
- Under the 'games' menu on your gp2x, navigate into the folder you just copied and select "bigtest.gpe"
- It can take a number of seconds to start, so just be patient
- Right now there is no way of quitting the application so you'll have to reset your gp2x
The pd binary is included with the CVS download, but if you'd like to patch PDa yourself you can. Just download the source from the PDa website and apply this patch using patch -p1 gp2x-PDa.patch inside the source directory. See src/gp2x.readme after applying the patch for more information about getting it to compile.
